The second quarter of 2008 showed major improvement across the board. Philadelphia saw an increase in absorption to 347,465 square feet and the vacancy dropped to only 13.6%. Because of the city’s economic diversity, new demand has been created. Rental rates have also skyrocketed to up $0.54 for Class A office space to $30.02 per square foot. Overall, the economic slow down of the national economy has not effected the commercial real estate market in Pennsylvania.
