A major downtown landmark is the square, which began as a humble watering hole and now contains a fountain plaza, benches, and plenty of shady places to relax on our warm afternoons. Garland has one of the larger town squares in Texas and is one of few in the state to feature a fountain. The square is home to fiddlers on Saturday nights as well as the newly organized First Saturday Trade Days.
